What is CrossFit? The textbook definition is "constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity across broad time and modal domains." Now, what does this mean for you? Each and every day, we will have a workout tailored to your specific needs with a specific goal in mind. We will do short, medium, and long workouts.
We will use our bodies to perform movements that resemble the tasks we take on in the real world. We will lift to build muscle. We will do pull-ups, sit-ups, handstands, and variations thereof, to improve awareness of our bodies in space. Simply put, CrossFit is the most effective, safest workout methodology you can participate in!
What you can expect during a CrossFit class...
They run approximately 60 minutes, but we encourage our members to come early and stay late!
Each class consists of a specialized warmup, skill development, strength work, and conditioning.
To conclude your workout, you can work on your mobility by completing the recommended cool-down.
RanchFIT
RanchFit looks at CrossFit through a different lens - as a sport! The lifting gets heavier. The gymnastics gets more technical. And tons more burpees. Anything that could be expected of you in a CrossFit competition, big or small, you can guarantee you will see plenty of it in our RanchFit program.
RanchFit is intended to be done in addition to the daily class workout and consists of one or two additional pieces each day. These can be performed before or after class or during our Open Gym hours!
CrossFit Kids
Starting at age 5 through 12, we teach kids all about functional movement and how to make fitness FUN! Our two class groups are: Buckaroos (Ages 5-8) Ranch Hands (Ages 9-12)
Currently our CrossFit Kids program is only offered during the summer, but if you're interested in learning more please let us know!
What People Say
I was stuck in a rut doing the same workouts week by week and this programming is a breath of fresh air with all the diversity of movements. Head Coach Tucker does a great job at providing the perfect balance of pushing you while not over-coaching or throwing too much at you. It's really nice that the training allows for a progression of any experience level. My biggest concerns were around injury but there is a lot of emphasis on warm-up and mobility. The community is really supportive and friendly, was exciting to join during the CF Open with all the community events. Come by and try it out you will not regret it!
